language is imperfect. and it will continue to be so for a very long time. so let’s stop trying to make it ‘perfect’. not let’s stop trying to make it change better, but stop trying to make it fit everything, contain everything, correspond to everything. stop trying to make it ‘perfect’. because ‘perfection’ is at its core intensity, at this juncture, a colonial, patriarchal, racist, classist, ableist, oppressive and harmful concept. and the chase of it will always lead to colonial, patriarchal, racist, classist, ableist, oppressive and harmful actions and consequences.
